Design a Jersey 2026 Winner

Déise Óg & Azzurri are delighted to announce that Alex Kiely, Mount Sion Primary School has been chosen as the winner of Design a Training Jersey Competition 2026. Alex’s design was chosen as the winner from over 500 entries received from boys and girls in primary schools all over the county. The were many quality entries to consider and it was agreed Alex’s entry was a very worthy winner.

Waterford GAA Head of Games Eoin Breathnach offered his heartiest congratulations to Alex who was both delighted and surprised to hear the good news when the school was contacted with the news. Speaking as the winner was announced Eoin said “Déise Óg are delighted that this competition, born out of Covid times, has grown to be something that schools, pupils and our GDC’s look forward at the start of each year to see the great designs that come in each year”

In congratulating Alex as the 2026 winner Jack Molloy, Azzurri Business Development Manager, said “Azzurri are delighted to partner with Déise Óg again this year for this great competition. The winning design is going into production in the coming weeks and will no doubt be popular with children and adults alike in the stands and on the terraces as the county teams gear up for what will hopefully be successful championships for all teams in 2026”

The jersey will be officially launched in Mount Sion Primary School, after Easter where Alex will receive the very 1st jersey in front of his friends and family. Once launched the jersey will be available online and in sports shops and will surely be popular with fans as the championships start.

Déise Óg would like to thank all who entered, as well as the teachers and parents who submitted entries. Once again the competition was hugely popular. Up the Déise!!
