Return to Action

Last weekend saw the restart of games in the Junior B & C Hurling Grades sponsored by The local Bar which produced some great battles in what was the first taste of competitive games within the west of the county since lockdown was eased. Important to mention to all those who attended the games, spectators, players and mentors who showed respect for Croke Park guidelines and restrictions. Also a thank you to all the Clubs who facilitated the games and a special mention to those who stewarded at gates/turnstiles and entrances during the weekend. Everyone needs to work together during these times to make sure games continue in a safe manner.

Croke Park Covid Rules & Restriction
All GAA boards are governed by the latest Covid guidelines coming out of Croke Park and last week saw a late flurry of guidelines to implement before the start of action at the weekend. The 200 attendance rule remains in place as we run of games over the coming weeks and it is important to know that the 200 includes players/mentors and ground staff which will no doubt raise its own difficulties going forward. Each spectator coming to the grounds will be counted and this applies to all ages, as 200 is the limit and will be strictly monitored for safety & health reasons. The majority of games going forward will be ticketed which is realistically the best way to control numbers and more importantly alleviate people being turned away. You must have a ticket from your Club as current rules stand to attend matches so please stay in contact with your Club for updates as we continue to respect GAA Covid guidelines.

A statement was released by Waterford GAA in the last number of days and these are the main points.
Waterford GAA season tickets/county passes - Tickets/vouchers may be exchanged for a 2021 season ticket or a refund. In order to process the exchange or refund the 2020 ticket/voucher must be returned to the county office in Walsh Park.

Club 500 - The ticket expires in December but will now be extended to cover all club games under the authority of Waterford County Board 2021.

Club+ Season Ticket- Please contact Croke Park regarding refund.
