Important Match Information

Waterford will face Clare on Saturday 16th March in the National Hurling League Quarter-Final in Walsh Park. Throw in at 3pm.


We are expecting a large attendance on Saturday afternoon. Tickets are unallocated and we anticipate that the stand will fill fast. Tickets will be available to purchase via the 3 ticket booths situated at the Main Roundabout, Slievekeale and at the Dressing Room Entrances. Tickets are priced at €20 for adults and €15 for OAPs and Students with valid ID. Under 16s are free of charge. We are urging everyone travelling to pre-purchase their tickets and beat the queues and save 25% on adult tickets. Please plan your journey in advance and arrive early.


A traffic plan will be in place around Walsh Park for the game on Saturday. Roads will close at 1:30pm.


Vincent White Road (the back of the Convent) will be closed from the roundabout at the Veterinary Surgery and all traffic will be diverted down Cannon Street - Players and officials included.

Access through Manor Lawn will be for residents only and parking will not be permitted on the greens. Keane's Road will be closed in the vicinity of Walsh Park.


Walsh Park is located in a residential area so please ask your members and supporters to park sensibly, refrain from parking on greens, avoid causing obstructions to entrances or footpaths and allow wheelchairs the ease of access in the area.


Parking will be available in the following locations:

- Mount Sion GAA Grounds (5 minute walk)

- Rear Car Park at the Waterford Shopping Centre, Lisduggan (10 minute walk)

- Crystal Car-Park (Old Waterford Crystal Factory) (15 minute walk) - (Paid Parking)

- City Centre Car Parks - (Paid Parking)


Stiles will open from 1:30pm. All 3 entrances will be open. Season Ticket stiles will be in operation and are located at Main Roundabout, Both Keane’s Road Entrances and Slievekeale Road entrances and will be clearly marked. (Stiles 4, 5, 10, 11, 12, 15 and 16) All other stiles will be general admission by ticket only.


Media/Photographers/Wheelchair Users must access the venue from the main roundabout gate.
