Western GAA Board Notes (27th July 2020)

July 27, 2020

Action from last weekend
Last weekend saw a number of games in the The Local bar Junior A and Comeragh Oil Intermediate hurling Championship within the west of the county. Because of the late start and the timeframe going forward, matches will be coming thick and fast over the coming weeks and this would not be possible only for the cooperation of the clubs with making venues available etc. Once again a big thank you to all stewards, match officials for their help over the weekend and to spectators who respected the Government ruling of 200 attending and the covid regulations in place. These are the results as follows:
The Comeragh Oil Western Intermediate Hurling Championship
An Rinn 2.18 Clashmore/Kinsalebeg 0.11
Ballyduff 3.18 Ballinameela 2.18
Modeligo 0.24 Cappoquin/Affane 2.14
Shamrocks 2.17 Stradbally 2.15
Ardmore 2.12 St Mary's 2.09
The Western Board officials completed a live draw at the Cappoquin Grounds on Sunday evening which saw Stradbally receive a bye into the next round with Clashmore/Kinsalebeg meeting Cappoquin and Ballinameela coming up against St Mary's this coming weekend in the second round with the winners of last weekend fixtures coming back into play once these are decided.
The local Bar Western Junior A Hurling Championship

An Rinn 1.14 Colligan 0.14
Tourin 1.14 Geraldines 1.10
